The history of the bouquet

It must be said that the usual way of combining colors was known not so long ago. The first time a bouquet, as such, started in the XIV century the country's law fashion, that is, in France. The word "bouquet" means "cut or plucked flowers, matched to each other and intended for a gift." In the same era, bouquets are beginning to be used to decorate ballrooms, country residences, as well as to emphasize the beauty of the dress(various boutonnieres and hats).

From the annals of Ancient Rome and Greece, we know that the flowers were used mainly as wreaths that adorn the famous heroes, the winners of the Olympics. In addition, the chariots of the nobility, the temples of the revered gods and the palaces of the first people of the state were decorated with flowers.

At the time of the birth of Christianity and later in the middle Ages flower arrangements were mostly simple and laconic, that is, fully consistent with its period.

The opposite of understanding the creation of bouquets is manifested in the Baroque style, later the luxury and pomposity of which "softened" the Rococo style.

In the nineteenth century in the Austrian Empire were a bouquet, in form resembling a dome, and in the United Kingdom invented a more romantic one the shape of a circle.

Later, the fashion for bouquets under the influence of the dominant style in art at one time or another transformed their appearance – but now we can revel in all the variety of shapes, dimensions of the bouquet and the breadth of the used floral material. Now it is possible to buy bouquets of different shapes for any purse.
